It's not their fault that Trinity are bad. Don't blame them

Totally agree. Maybe got a couple of calls incorrect but for most parts he was was ok. Would like to see the Shaul try again to see if forward or offside but he’s got a linesman to help with those things. Some of our fans are just waiting cocked to have a go a the ref. Some even booed by mistake when we got a penalty.

2nd half no arguments with the officials, but thought we were on the wrong side of the count in the first half, and there was a lot of messing around/slowing of the ruck from Hullmthat they seemed to quite easily get away wit, when we got on a roll and quick plays we made a lot of headway in to them.

So in your eyes been constantly offside, constantly slowing the play of the ball so your defenders can get back head high shots going unpunished, wiping tackle count cos you get ball kicked at you from point blank range dont matter and there just the little things not 1 hull player was asking for high shot end of first half which says it all

Got to agree. I thought Child was poor first half. Particularly the kick you talk about and a blatant flop that he left unpunished. Hull apparently were perfect in the ruck first half according to Child. Just wasn't the case at all. I felt the ruck was refereed differently at different points in the game.

It’s not our fault the ref is crap is it! Why defend the indefensible. You seem to be suffering from reverse blinkered mentality syndrome, still your choice

That was certainly a bad call from Child when he waved six more tackles when the ball was deliberately kicked to rebound off the Trinity player's leg No way did he "play at" that ball, and the penalty on the half-time hooter was pure farce. As it turned out it had a profound effect on the outcome of the game.

Re: Match officials : Sat Mar 07, 2020 12:07 am
Yes the repeat set they were given looked a harsh call and our only penalty of the first half came a couple of tackles later on our own 5 metre line!

I’m not one for having a go at refs every week but the clear frustration for all fans is the consistency...

We started the game well and were really dominant the first ten minutes...easily making 50/60 metres a set while Hull were struggling to get out of their half...6-0 up and playing well and then a big momentum swing with successive penalties that ended in a try. Now that’s fair enough pulling us for offside but where it annoys fans is when for the rest of the half when Hull got on top and we were struggling to get out of our half there wasn’t one penalty in sight...no one is telling me Hull weren’t offside once in that first half, but there’s the inconsistency!

Thought Hull definitely got the rub of the green first half and the 6-1 penalty count was telling...second half though it seemed to completely swing the other way and the 50/50’s started going our way and we got back in it...just a shame we couldn’t see it out...
