I know the way we are playing that it’s becoming irrelevant who’s in charge, but let’s hope for the best

Far more pressure on Leeds than us on Friday.
If we can keep it tight or, better still, get in front, their fans will be very restless.
This is definitely a winnable game. We need to be a bit braver with ball in hand and
most importantly, have a decent kicking game.

For me their danger man is Dwyer , when he comes on he’s a nightmare to defend against especially where we are most vulnerable , and that’s on our try line . With a bit of luck Tetevano or Bentley may be missing for parts of the game if they are true to form . Two clubs down on confidence , who wants it more , I’m hoping wakefield.

It's funny because he's the one Leeds fans are moaning about. Apparently great runner but not great passer.....so we should put him under pressure.

Well it isn't like we don't know what he'll do. But it won't be the first time we switch off and fall for the soft option on our line.
Let's hope we've spent the week introducing ourselves to one another and maybe just maybe we'll perform as a team.

I actually think this is the best the current squad can play. We have certainly over the last three seasons in most games lacked structure, predetermined plays or an ability to offload the ball other than when we knock it on. We have had two different coaches, changed the squad for the worse in my opinion but nothing changes. I doubt even Wayne Bennett would change the performances on the field. We are in a rut again and this time I am not sure anyone has brought a ladder to get us out.

WAKEFIELD TRINITY - The PRIDE of Sporting Wakefield

THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS

Re: Squad for Leeds : Fri May 20, 2022 10:57 am
For me I'd go with:
Jowitt

Minns
Hall
Lyne
Lineham

Miller
Lino

Battye
Hood
Arona

Tanginoa
Pitts
Whitbread

Subs:
Kay
Crowther
Butler
Fifita

To miss out:
Batchelor
Gaskell
Aydin
Ashurst

To be honest I'd have preferred to use Kay on the wing and put Minns in centre instead of Lyne but with no Bowes then I don't see an option other than for Kay to be the relief hooker.
I'd also be playing Walker now ahead of Miller (if the Cas rumours are true) to give him a run of games to show what he can do as he's been pretty good in all the games he has played.
Tanginoa was a tough choice to leave in as he really does seem to have lost his mojo, but if he does turn it on then he can be a game breaker.

Wonder if Poaching has considered playing Gaskell at centre which is probably his best position IMO.
