I went to Widnes in Feb 2016. It was a cold Thursday night but was looking forward to a good game. We scored first then as the game progressed as I am sure most who was there will remember the wheels came off Widnes put over forty points on us that night. Later we heard that Gaz Ellis asked Radford to leave the dressindroom and locked the door. Don't know what was said but that team won the c.c. at Wembley for the first time. So Don't be to quick to ask for changes because that was the conversation on the coach that night and we were late getting home because of roadworks on the M62

Its true we need a leader like Ellis, but its also true that the 2016 success came off the back of strong recruitment that maybe took a few weeks to gel together. That year we added Manu, Taylor, Pritchard, Carlos, Fonua and Washbrook returned. Even though Pritchard was slightly underwhelming it was a strong year of signings, since then we have largely made poor contract decisions.
