The rest can go though they're 3 aging members of a squad that needs freshening up. Chuck in Shaul, JJ and Bowden. Hodgson should have more than enough cap space to get who he wants.

Wonder if offering Shaul and Bowden on loan to Toulouse would be an option? would depend on the vaccination status of both players also. It would help Toulouse get bodies in that they are very short of and moves out two players who BH does not see as players for Hull FC moving forward. Think its going to be difficult for Toulouse to sign any half decent players on deals due to the real threat of relegation but loans may well be a good solution for them.

I think if we could loan out Shaul & Bowden it would help us more by freeing up space to hopefully bring in players that would improve us by giving better strength in depth. As being honest Shaul & Bowden are most likely to see the season sat in the stands while they still take a chunk of cap.

Look at Saints, releasing Coote at the right time, they could have easily given him a new deal, buy saw him coming to the end of his career and moved him on.

We managed to get rid of a couple underperformed high paid players in the off season, we need to continue to do this rather than keep handing out contracts.

I assume you posted tongue in cheek Dave and it's the usual FC/KR banter because i am sure you will be aware Saints did their damnedest to keep Coote and made him an offer to stay as their coach stated when interviewed on sky but. HKR however bettered the offer.

As I understand it Saints only offered him a 1 year contract but Rovers offered him 2 years.

Toulouse have just signed Huddersfield’s Full Back Olly Ashall-Bott. So doubt Jamie will be going to France now.
