We had 4 quota spots available at one point and nearly all the salary cap open, we obviously couldn’t bring in the targets we really wanted then so honestly what difference does another spot make? None of our quota players signed up are particularly poor it might actually be safer sticking with what we have especially if we are rummaging in the bargain basement. Is it really worth gambling on more unknown Okunbor/Pele’s or going the other way and bringing in yet another player in their mid 30’s?

My only slight hope is that the investor/buyer/benefactor whatever you want to call it actually happens before next season. If we have a quota spot at that point if used correctly could make a big difference, it seems laughable now but maybe we could be in a situation to buy someone.

For me that’s all nonsense talk though as I don’t believe anything meaningful is going to happen on that front, some kind of change may happen but I just can’t see a situation that this basket case of a club is anything but heading for the championship at best and that will be our level.

I presume he means Sao but if he goes we then only have herman, ashworth, Aydin and Fash plus youngsters. Nowhere near good enough so would need another decent prop anyway

Ese'ese will not be hear beyond next season. Why would he sign an extension with us?

Signed a 3 year contract, so should be here for two more years, but you never know will this club.

If we could sign an off quota prop, and sign a non fed centre or vice versa, that would be ideal.

Sao can leave for me and bring in a quota centre but we'd need to sign another non-quota prop. We didn't replace Pele.

I'd rather sign Hill or Cooper and use the spot for a line breaking centre.

Other option is to try and sign Bateman and use Staveley as a prop.

Another risk would be Ryan Sutton, but he hasn't played for a year.

Yep me too,had about 5 good games mid season, thought he had turned the corner, reckon Cas would take him or Salford.

Easier to sign a decent non fed forward than a centre.

I was leaning towards Cooper but he is concussion issues and that’s why he not playing so Hill maybe the better option if we was to go that way.

Hill lives in Warrington. He won't be signing for us.

I wonder if we're still signing the winger from York?
