All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

Re: Realistic targets for 2025 : Tue Sep 17, 2024 6:07 pm
Don’t care if we lose every game (okay I do a bit), just want to see the lads dig in and fight for eachother and the badge. No more blowout scores. Small victories like winning a half and not conceding in first 10/20/30 is where we need to start building some confidence. This is what Grix should have been seeing to.

I remember when Gentle came in, one of the things that came out was how far behind the rest of the league we were on the S&C side of things, don’t think that’s ever really changed and we are paying the price. Cartwright talks the talk and I’m desperate for him to back it up with action. I sincerely hope anyone who doesn’t want to do the graft in pre-season is sent packing.

4. Warrington
5. Catalan
6. Leeds
7. Leigh

If rovers continue to do well with Injuries then they will be in and around top 2 or 3 again i think but Wigan would be my pick for 1st and Saints will be back next year 100%.

The problem Rovers have is they don't have a plan B... If they pick up 3 or 4 key injuries such as wigan did this year they would be in serious trouble. Rovers are in a real key period IMO, Matt Shaw said as much on the recent HOL podcast, they have players on big contracts who are eventually gonna get too old, peters wont be staying forever as his aim will be to get an NRL job like most Aussie coaches that come over and at some point unless they really ramp up their youth and have a few hull lads coming through they will get found out. They cant keep just replacing one big player with another, no club can sustain that, not to mention its pretty much known across most around Mikey Lewis friends and family that he will go over to the NRL in the next 2 or 3 years so again whose the next on the conveyor belt? We at FC can have a healthy line of players to replace many positions in the coming 5 or 6 seasons, as do Wigan, Saints etc etc, so it might seem a million miles off at the moment but don't be surprised in the next few seasons to see Rovers start to fall down the ladder and us being back up there

You are so wrong on almost every aspect of this drivel..Rovers have money across the board, crowds increasing, revenue from all aspects of the club, new 3G pitch and training facilities, Mikey and Willie signs up for 4 years, Mikey starting put on the money he is on and family. We can buy almost any play we want and pay what ever is required. Tyler Dupree bucks the trend as he was sold by Salford with a refusal to negotiate, I think other than a couple of 16 years olds from Hull We have exactly who we want. Hull have their 3rd 4th choice coach, players no one wants and the big one no investor. You do have a hut on a school field I'll give you that. For a club established in 2011 your fall from grace is remarkable.
