Humberside need to take a look at radio BBC Leeds ( west yorks), to see how you produce a sports programme, very good commentry and always have excellent co-commentators.They also have light hearted entertainmet at the half time period, normally with Barry Mac doing his guest interviews.Of course only listen when Hull are playing in that area...
Still a very good programme.

THE INDEPENDANT: Today the east, which contains the biggest council estate in Europe, is poor, a place of high unemployment and low expectation. The west, which has the city centre and the university, is posh and prosperous.
I was at the game and listened on my phone to Humberside. Murdoch is great, very informative, paints pictures with words, you know where the players are on the pitch and what is going on. Gets in a lot of information, great for a radio commentator.
Gollum...... He is gash! His player recognition is terrible, I lost count of the number of times he called Cussack Radford. You have no idea of where the ball is on the pitch or whats going on half the time.
Well i'll stick my neck out and own up that I do like 'Gollums' commentary and also the co-commentators he has with his. I certainly prefer it to KCFM anyhow.
Strikes me that there was very few complaints before the Cookiegate scandal.

Sent an e-mail to RH about 4 years ago with reference to Mr Lloyds inadequacies.
Then when Tom Briscoe made that big break you would have thought he had done a 20 y scoot. As a listener you would have thought nothing much had happened as Gollum never changed the pitch of his voice. BLAND. Then he spent the next 2-3 minutes slagging off Tom Briscoe for not passing to Horne.
This is the problem for me. I didn't listen to the Rovers commentary on Sunday but at the start of the Oval Ball, Lloyd's voice was literally shaking with joy describing the moment of Dobson's drop goal asking people to phone in and tell him where they were and how they felt in that moment. Perhaps he reacted the same to Cusack's try at the KC, but I have a hunch that he didn't. We have Murdock (who I really rate) and Park as each team's pundit, so Lloyd should be both impartial and expert, and is neither.
Gwillym Lloyd is a joke.
Him and his co hosts run a programme called "sportstalk" never has a word been been so misused as this, i have been in different areas of the country and listen how they present sport programmes and they are nothing like the pantomine we get from Radio Humberside.
We are very lucky if 50% of the progamme is anything to do with sport, it mainly consists of the presenters calling each other stupid names and telling us what they or their friends have been up to recently. The only time you serious sport is when the sports news is on.

What you might find interesting about Sunday is that there was good piece by James Rule about funding the new training facilities which I caught the last two sentences of, because it was broadcast in the Rovers part of the programme before The Oval Ball started, why was'nt it in our local Rugby League magazine show which in total had about 6 minutes of Hull FC?
However everyone knows my views so I won't reiterate them however Mr lloyd on Friday night said "And on Sunday the black and whites of Rovers go to Odsal" and on Sportstalk tonight said this of Friday nights game, "I thought Tom Briscoe had a poor game!".

The guy's a Seatbelt. I have no time or respect for him.
Last season in Perpignan he sat in the bar near us and proceeded to spout cack. Lee Richardson just sat and watched the match, every now and then he'd raise his eyebrows and sigh as Gollum kept on spouting more and more cack.
