He showed more at fullback tonight than Horne ever has and I'd have no problem with him staying there for the rest of the season (or until Tony's back, if he ever is).
Brilliant again today. No matter where he is played, he always does the business and for me, is one of the most valuable members of our squad.
Today backed up once again how good he is with ball in hand, along with showing great vision which we all know is one of his biggest assets. In my opinion, he needs to be in the team every week. I'm not fussed what position, he just has to be in there. He brings so much to the table and offers us something different.
Where would you like to see Rich play, not only this season, but next too? I'm not going to get giddy over one game, but is fullback now an option for him? Does he deserve a shot at stand off? Or would you prefer to see him in the pack?
The great thing about tonight was he would hardly have expected to come on for Richard Horne at FB - can't imagine he's trained there very often - yet he slotted in perfectly, was faultless under the high ball and came into the line really well. Just shows how naturally gifted he is when he can come on and make an impact in an unfamiliar position.

Might be worth giving him a shot there, didn't do anything wrong.
Didn't do anything wrong, safe as houses, but will never make it as a full back, because my Grannies faster and she's dead.
Yes because you need the speed of a winger to play full back. Forget about being relaible, able to tackle. having the nounce where it;s needed and being in general a clever player...it's all about speed at fullback isnt it? Perhaps he should have let the fookin ball bounce more eh?
Yes, you need a modicum of speed,if safe as houses is for you, ok,but for us to be able to compete with Leeds and Saints, safe as houses isn't good enough.

I'm not sure people are suggesting he's a first choice FB on a permanent basis. For me, after the stress of Hall and Tony costing us many tries dues to their inability to catch the ball at FB this season, I'd far rather see Whiting there for now.
You talk like he uses a zimmer mate. FFS you're talking about a player that kept up with Calderwood a few games ago to score an awesome try. After Tony, yes,l safe as houses is very appealing. And if it was lost on you. exceptional returns too. But if youve made your mind up...hey ho....
