As far as loose forwards go Norton and Whitely and I don't think anyone will argue with that. This vote is for the 3rd choice and I'm surprised that Casey even got a nomination - surely there have been better than him other than the 3 other nominees who were all clearly superior and contributed more as a Hull player. Casey played 5 years (not particularly long) in an undistinguished side and was hardly considered the star man. His fame as a player, that of a cheap shot merchant known for late hits on the opponents half backs, was earned with another team.
However if the dobbins were to do a hall of fame then Casey would be a walk in, chiefly for the harm he did to Hull with his disastrous coaching spell.
FWIW my choice would be Crane, a very good player and always entertaining - though I wouldn't have wanted to be his coach.
