Ganson was poor in the first half but better in the second. Got the offside spot on.

Typical ganson. Let's everything go for 78 minutes then makes a game defining decision. Definitely the right decision but how many off sides went unpunished during the game?

Think Child was the touch Judge? Another infamous for gamebreaking decisions? He was right with this one, but how many others did he ignore, or call and Ganson ignore?

This is Poorhouse Lane. And this is Neil, the rovers supporter who leads an exciting double life. For when Neil sponsors RLFANS an amazing transformation occurs. Neil is Cabbageman. Ever alert for the call no injury too small!

Thats the full issue for me. As a stand alone decision it was perfect and one that we hope would happen every game with the touch judge helping the ref out on the offsides. But in the context of this game Ganson had let so many offsides go for both teams that to make the game hinge of a refs call (how many times do we see that with "I am the Star" Ganson) spoilt the end to what was a fantastic game of RL.

Re: Ganson : Sat Oct 01, 2011 1:40 pm
Have always said Ganson has a game plan before he refs a game, ie gonna blow up for eveything or just gonna let it flow.
The rules are there so all refs should officiate every game in the same way.
But as somebody mentioned earlier that's why he's nicknamed Hollywood & games he controls are called the Ganson show!
But while Cummings is in charge I'm afraid no ref will be punished for poor performances & as a result we will all suffer frustrating decisions that in tight games can cost us points!
The RFL don't help this matter by punishing coaches who speak out about these problems & thus sweeping problems under the carpet.
Wow that's my rant over & it feels good :DEPRESSED:

In Adam we have trust
In peter we have belief
In our team we have pride

Re: Ganson : Sat Oct 01, 2011 10:53 pm
The trouble is there is'nt enough quality refs thats why same two get the big gamess. Rfl dont have the confidence in the others. Imo tierry albert seems to let the game flow and makes consistant decisions for the whole game. it must help the players they'll know wot he's gonna blow for n wot he is'nt

At least we can still rely on Carney.

Will always remember his half time reply to Clare Balding's question at the 2005 Cup Final on who he though would win it the second half?

'Never mind now Clare, I had my money on Hull before the game started!!' :ROCKS:
