So the good news is that Fash is NFA, the bad news is Grade F for Griffin.
Whilst I don't condone abuse of the officials I would say unless Griffin has really gone to town and called Kendal something extreme the grading at F seems crazy.
Unless the RFL have cast iron evidence of Kendals mic recording what was said I just don't see how the MRP can bring any real judgement or punishment. The linesman was behind and would likely have been out of earshot bending down to pick up the ball initially to have heard what was said with the crowd noise at the time. If no recording then its a case of one word against the other and as both have previous then its fair to say the MRP can not justifiably apportion blame or punishment to either without evidence.
That said the MRP have form for taking sides without clear evidence in the recent tribunal with Josh McGuire claiming Charnley was an 'Impressive & credible witness' and that Kasiano & Philbin as witnesses added nothing as 'they were not in close enough proximity'. So are they likely to say the same about Kendal but would be questionable if they class the touch judge being close enough?
If Griffin hasn't said anything that warrants a Grade F charge, I hope the club defend him and take the fight to the RFL/MRP and Kendal.
Just feel the RFL/MRP will back up Kendal regardless.
No mention of the shoulder charge made by Batchelor or Walmsley sliding in with his knees on Trueman when scoring.
