Good luck Cam, in my opinion you’ve just found the next level, and Wakey are getting a player with versatility and no slouch either, of all the players recently departed I’m not that bothered about, but would of liked another couple of seasons from you with us.

Possibly travelling as another poster said, but if it’s about ahem, money, think Ritchie should have looked to secure you further.

Time will tell as always but good luck to you, a player with seemingly no baggage, always a good ambassador on and off the field, wait a minute why are we allowing Wakey to take him.

Agreed and probably had his fill of the train crash.
We are a bit like watching Ellen Burstyn in Aranofsky's Requiem for a Dream. :D

I put something on the hull live thread about him leaving saying he's always injured, thinks he's better than he is and he won't be missed and he laughed at my comment

Probably not developed as much as I thought he would do, but still improved alit last two years, strong runner, but has issues in defence main issues are the amount of long term injuries he seems to get, just about every year since he joined apart from last year.

Think the club have done right in not matching the Wakey offer, as he is a player we don't get value for money from.

Still think he could be a very good SL player if he can stay injury free

Do you know what Wakey offered him, according to Cam it’s speculation.

Hardaker and Chamberlain will not offer the same value for money, we will agree to differ on this one, here’s a lad who can play second row now, without waiting till he’s lost his pace,

How much was he offered by Wakey, did we even offer him a deal, did he decide he needed a change? I doubt any of us really know.
Its a mixed bag for me with Scott on the one had whilst he's not developed as much as many thought he's still improved year on year and isn't a bad option. Then on the other had he just never gets through a season without picking up a long term injury, admittedly some could be down to poor conditioning set up but ultimately he is another that just misses far too many games. We are losing a player that has grown with the club but does he offer any real value sat for half a season in the treatment room each year?
If we are to get back to being a side that challenges these are the decisions that should and have to be made with sentiment put aside.

As for Hardaker & Chamberlain not offering the same value as Scott, again we don't know as we don't know the deals made or offered etc, but Cam Scott won't have been playing for free and it seems we have been over paying a number of the squad.

Good luck to Cam in his future, sorry to see him bow out in the way he has.

Chris if he’s improved year on year, that’s development isn’t it, he’d just about taken Carlos place.

Injury to younger players is symptomatic of the rigour of super league, there’s a host of these younger players who struggle with injuries in their early careers, Newman, Walker, Wrench, Stavely I won’t go on.

Value for money, he’s around 25, versatility, if we didn’t already have him on the books, I dare say he would be identified as a player we’d be looking at, I’ll take it a bit further, he’s probably the best centre we had on the books, can and does slot into the pack, or wing with no drama.

I’ve watched this lad home and away since he joined us, his transition into the back row surprised me, I thought it would be too much for him, but he’s handled it and shown once more his value to our club.

Journeymen replacement on long contracts is absolute madness on this occasion.

Saying all that if Cam wanted away, fair enough, and I will wish him well.

Can be the greatest player in the world, but if you only play 11 games a season it's not too value, apart from last season, it's been a similar pattern for Scott, misses far too many games.
