It's good news for the city as a whole to be able to stage this sort of event, while not knowing the reasons for the SMC not wanting to play ball i can't comment. But Duffen should make the reasons known, he is after all the head of a company running the facility on behalf of the council. If he thinks it may interupt with city's fixtures, or damage the pitch or it's going to clash with Iron Maiden playing the KC then the least he could do is come out and give his reasons, thats not unacceptable to expect surely. Being unnavailable for comment is a copout.
