Interesting comment by Radford on the subject tonight...Basically saying he shouldnt miss the first Derby due to being a big game, but if he doe's its his own fault.

Was it Radford that said it would be his own fault or is that you saying that?

I don't know what he said to the ref but if it's true that he told him to F off then I have no issue at all with a 1 match ban and feel we have some cheek appealing it tbh. Disrespect of referees needs to be stamped out. The abuse they get on the terraces (mostly from people who couldn't tell their a*** from their elbow) is terrible, and what chance do we have if the players and coaches can't even set an example?

As big a fan as I am of Connor he needs to just take this on the chin and be smarter in the future.

The problem is that Connor doesnt take anything on the chin for this unless the club decide to fine him.
Its the club that suffers because we will probably lose him for what is an important opening fixture.

If he swore at a match official he should be banned. Only have the reports to go but if the appeal is based on the grounds apparently mentioned by Radford it is spurious and Connors deserves to have his ban increased. Unless new evidence is produced a successful appeal will lose the RFL credibility.

Interesting that Brough got sin-binned for dissent on Sunday but that hasn't been brought before the match review committee.

Not surprised that Westwood has got a ban for his tackle on Hurrell where he left his feet and wrapped his legs round Hurells leg and dragged him down. I was surprised the video ref didn't have a word with Kendall and advise him that it should have been at least a yellow card at the time.

Player (Brough) approaches referee to appeal decision. Does not use foul or abusive language. Sin Bin Sufficient.

Indeed, if Connor hadn't sworn I doubt he'd have got a ban.
