AP says we will have most of our players back which suggests the 5? who tested positive will be available. Thought they couldn't play under the present rules?
It’s lost me also, I’ve forgotten who was/is positive, isolating, pinged, suspended, dropped etc.
Someone please explain who is available for the Derby as it stands.
Was impressed with Rovers last night, they play off the cuff and fast, look very dangerous when they have both hookers on. We need to be very disciplined (which we have failed to do most games this year), give them six against they will punish up.
But they are beatable, props apart from King are poor and they are still weak in defence Wigan broke the line a few times.
Wigan are a poor side, the worst I've seen in years, carried by Hastings, only him and Hardraker played well. Field did well when he came on, but cam on too late.

It's hard to know for sure but as it stands and assuming no more new positive cases the only players back for the derby are Savelio, Wynne and Johnstone as all three have completed their suspensions.
Jake Connor is close to a return and could be back. The other unknowns are Fonua, Sneyd, Satae, Vulikijapani and Shaul. If we assume that they are the ones who missed last night due to Covid protocols then under current rules they'll miss the derby too. There was some talk of the rules being relaxed but that hasn't been confirmed.

Thank you, that’s a little clearer, I thought perhaps wrongly, a lot of the missing players yesterday, was because of none vaccinations, thus not being able to travel, unless you can travel without jabs as an elite sportsman.
This particular Derby has taken on even more meaning, if that’s even possible.

We have scored more points than you and conceded less.

I'm not sure that's true. Personally I accepted the season was done after Huddersfield and the Derby is a foregone conclusion given Rovers current form. We're not even in the 6 now.
The big question for me now is how we will be going into pre season in 3 months time both as a club and squad. Maybe for a different thread but as emotive as a Derby loss will inevitably be for a week or so it's the bigger picture that concerns me more.
