Yes they do, but it still can't be construed as an incident 'at work' if it didn't happen within the work environment.

Poor signing and the most pointless signing since Tony Martin.

McCrae needs to politely remind himself that he's not at Salford anymore.

AP needs to choose his words more carefully in the future if Martin and Aspinwall are the end result.

Isnt he the only signing since Tony Martin?

I wouldn't say they were pointless signings, maybe not as good as some of hoped but certainly not pointless.

Surely it's more down to the defensive structures that were in place rather then the players? Under the old regime no matter who we had signed for the right hand side would have struggled so lets see how they get on under Gentle? Also think it well help quite a bit that Martin is in fact a right centre so is familiar with playing on that side.

yes ,i can see what what youre saying, and i mostly agree but i still think it will be seen as our achilles heel by most other teams in defence and not much of a threat in attack but yes hopefully a better structure under the new coach will resolve this..maybe we were all expecting too much from pearsons rallying call eh?

You are right, however you are still disciplined at work if it gets to court, this actually also happens at RM, if a postie is found guilty at court it is considered they brought the business into disrepute, i know a few who got sacked for outside activities so to speak.

WHY DON'T THE DOBBINS PLAY IN GREEN SHIRT, GREEN SHORTS AND GREEN SOCKS IN ORDER TO EXPRESS THEIR INFINITE ENVY OF EVERYTHING BLACK AND WHITE??

To be built up by AP with promises of quality additions and really meaning business etc..etc.. and to then see Martin and Aspinwall come in, doesn't make any sense to me.

Surely the sum of these two signings could have afforded us one half decent signing?

AP and McCrae created extreme optimism with their words but, sadly, this has gradually fizzled away for me.

Underwhelmed by the signing but we will just have to wait and see how things pan out. We needed another backrower and the fact it is just a 1 year deal say he has been signed as a stop gap rather than a solution. It is fine relying on the youth but to go into a new season with just 2 recognised 2nd rowers is a massive risk, at least we now have 3 and if he doesn't impress he will be on his way next season.
Lets just see how the team goes before slamming the players signed.

Totally agree there mate.Tickle,Manu and Westerman will be the 1st 3 for those positions, and to me Aspinwall is a big improvement on Burnett. At the same time,Gentle can look at players like Green,Kent etc,and give them a go if he thinks they are good enough.

People just need to be patient and let the new hierarchy and the new squad do their jobs for us. AP has set lofty targets but I for one never thought we'd achieve it in season no 1. For me its a 2 maybe a 3 season project to get us back to a giant, rather than a sleeping one. These guys cannot perform miracles.
I'm sure if Gentle had been in place 5 months ago the new signings would be different. But he wasn't and they're not.
Having said that I'm still excited. The overseas signings will boost us no end and Lynch gives us a consistency and front row solidness we've not had for seasons, and the new young guys are projects whom I believe will come good. Both well respected at their previous clubs which says a lot for me.

Martin is here to do a holding job, bring centre stability until we can bring in a right centre who will move us on to the top level. In the mean time it gives great hope to our young centres and a good person to learn off.

Aspinwalls signing has got Andy Hays fingerprints all over it. He knows him well lets trust the guy. International aguad member 2008, lets give him a chance to get back to those heights again with us lot behind him.

The clubs transformation is not going to be an overnight fix. I for one won't be taking my bat and ball home till I've given the club till end season 2013 to show we are on track to meet Adams predictions.

There again, we could always go back to Rich and Kath I suppose. How fickle we are......
