"Whilst we have campaigned to ensure that the employment of each member of the Bulls squad is protected, it would be naïve of us not to consider a number of players having to leave the club. Given the circumstances which surround the Bulls at the present time we have asked the RFL for exemptions on the overseas quota and the salary cap for any player who finds himself in such a position for the remainder of the 2012 season and beyond. We are awaiting their response.”

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.
I think it should, short term, just till the end of the year or else their quota players may not be able to get another club and no fault of there own.

I agree. Not the players fault and for some to have travelled halfway round the world to play on the basis of a contract to then be told "tough, go home" is a bit much.

If it was only till the end of the season then I could live with it.
But if you wanted to sign one of their overseas players on a 2 year deal then they should be back on quota next season, as should their cap value.

Is it true that Richard Agar's favorite movie of all time is Groundhog Day or does he just generally like the same boring s**t day after day, season after season?

I think they should be excempt fo the duration of the deal that the player had in place with the bulls. If someone has 18months left on their bulls contract then they should be excempt from the cap and quota for that duration only. If they find a new club and they want to extend the deal, then they should count on both the quota and the cap.
