Interview with Scott Taylor on FC Live:

“We’ve got a lot of new boys, me being one of them this year, and we had a really good tough pre-season. That means absolutely nothing right now and only we can change this.”

He continued: “It has nothing to do with Lee Radford, Andy Last, the conditioners or anyone else. They are all doing a brilliant job and we are letting them down, the fans down and the club down.

“It’s on the players’ heads and we’ll be striving to put that right next week.”

Although not perfect, I feel that this has improved this year, last night he gave a good ball to Talanoa, who then dropped the ball, a quicker winger, would ahve had less pressure on him and scored that try.

Agree on all other points, I still think there is a good halfback in Sneyd, but he needs more confidence and have a partner playing with him (Not at the other side of the park) Mellor and Brown play together and it makes a difference.

Not rocket science is it, Pryce as played that way for 17 years and still Radford continues with this unsuccessful attacking style!!

Just checked sports news and this site and so disapointed that there is still no positive news coming out the club that Radford has gone.

Fed up of hearing the same excuses from him and the players.

This is Radford's team now but yet the same old frailties remain.

Would like a new coach ASAP in order to steal a march on recruitment over Rovers and Wakefield and in order to salvage the season and rejuvenate the players as all is not well with this club and we as fans do deserve better.

Re: Enough is Enough : Fri Mar 11, 2016 2:49 pm
just my thoughts from this morning having not seen the game only listened to radio and interviews

I am hoping the players .. senior ones did take the responsibility after game and asked radders to leave along with staff so they could have a good sort out between themselves. clearly not all gave 100 % . I refrain from massive comment as not seen game but by all accounts (shaun briscoe was very inciteful on radio humberside.... much better than usual radio rovers crap. ) our halfs were very poor and theirs excellent . brown playing in a dinner jacket and sneyd making all wrong options. Abdull unfortunately appears to not have sorted out physical fitness issues and had a very poor kicking nite. wondered why having given him the 13 shirt we had not seen him.. radders comments about so so pre season now make sense. we appear to have a large problem defending wide out as a team structurally and with individuals jumping out leaving easy holes on wing ..seen it in all games.. even salford and cats scored all tries out there.

I want radders to succeed and I hope the players back him with a good stuffing of wakefield - it is the only way he will remain. I always said 10 games to decide if radders can get best out of this top squad he has assembled and have accepted nature of last 2 defeats was about poor game management and indiscipline in close finishes against top 6 teams . however last nights attitude and aptitude was a massive negative and i fear a wakey loss at home would have to be the end. I believe this team will react ,stuff wakey and give him a stay of execution but I am sure pearson will have doubts now about this seasons success and we will be on red alert for a while. As for replacements i would prefer to see radders take assistance (from above !) and my favourites would be noble or kear from what is easily available in UK.

there is no doubt this squad has been financed by pearson on basis it achieves top 6 and good cup run. I still believe the squad is deep and strong enough to achieve the minimum goals set . the question is who will drive it to reach its full potential ?

Mr peason will unfortunately now have to suffer more loss of crowd for KC v wakefield - i can see max 8000 and a lot of moaners.... many of whom have stood by club for last 8 pretty dire seasons and have valid claims to criticise !. Radders said he expects a pretty frosty KC next week and is under no illusions about consequences of a defeat !

I am just wondering if i am brave enough to book a trip all way from CH to KC for the wakefield game....................

Re: Enough is Enough : Fri Mar 11, 2016 2:52 pm
From an outsiders point of view, having only watched Hull in their tv games in the league this season, Radford has just built a team in his own image. Your 1-17 has absolutely no craft or guile, save for Pryce but without him you look very predictable.
For as good a player as Houghton is, his decision-making is dire, leaving you with a core 1,6,7,9 who are all but one, very easy to read. Banging it down the middle will only work as long as you are able to blow teams away and Hull were not that far away from doing so in the first 15 mins last night if it wasn't for poor execution and a bit of bad luck. It was evident however that there was absolutely no plan B.
Why is Abdull so fat?

Very easy to put it all on Radford and he has to take a lot of it, but for me, last night was disappointing as the players heads went down. Same old problem, things don't go right, we panic and fail. I said last night, 10 minutes in when it was 12-6, if we don't panic, we'll win. I still think that would have been the case, we were the better team for the first 15.

Personally I think this week is a huge test of both the players, the coach, the club and the fans. We can't just win next week against Wakefield, we have to destroy them. I suspect that in the players meeting that is pretty much exactly what was said. I'm expecting a big response next week.

I'm not ready to call for Radford's head, but if we don't get the response against Wakefield and then that doesn't continue then I will certainly be convinced that it is time. I suspect if this is still a problem at Easter then that will be it.
