I'd define success as who achieves more in the competion, for 3 years running that's been Rovers whichever way you want to try and play it down.

We've been to Wembley and made a shedload of cash off the back of it. Rovers would have finished out of the play-offs this year under the 6 team system in place to 2008. Rovers finished above us in 2008 and 2009, fair enough. I don't see them as a more successful club than us though.

I'll give you Houghton, he could hardly pass the ball when he first came into the team and towards the end of last season he'd improved so much we felt we could move Berro to centre... Briscoe likewise but I'd hope Agar has the balls to move him to centre.

So he's brought 2 players up to international standard. Has Morgan developed Welham to the same level? Fox has gone backwards and didn't go to Australia. Ditto Shaun Briscoe, who went backwards this season.

Fitz and O'Meley, most people on here in the same position would have signed them and Agar certainly doesn't get the best out of Fitz.

What do you suggest Agar does with a world class workhorse? When the alternative at 13 is Washbrook, I think Agar's done the right thing so far. Now Westerman is here, it should change.

Hi Andy

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

You seem to be struggling for facts here. Crocker was the victim of a change in application of rules which was not anticipated either by Leeds (Eastwood), Huddersfield (Carney), Bradford (Bird) or FC (Crocker) who were all impacted at the same time. Since then clubs have had to get much smarter on the visa front and employ agents to oversee the visa process, hence O'Meley and Fitzgibbon being here from pre season last year. Mason will get here eventually, for sure, but if he didn't it would be a huge embarrassment for Rovers after breaking club protocol to announce the signing early (something Hudgell slated FC for in his derby programme notes as "selling the fans short") and extending the season pass discount period off the back of it, and launching the Willie Mason trail.

Sorry yes I'm sure if Rovers had realise we were the unfortunate victims of a change in application rules they would have refrained from giving us so much stick over the Crocker thing :D / As I'm sure you well know, when there's a big rivalary, the intricacies of situations don't count for much, only the outcomes and the bragging rights that result. No doubt if Mason didn't make it over we'd have a field day but it would be tempered by the fact it had happened to us first.

Not even that good a troll, it's the nasty comments about Lyne and the whinging about minor derby incidents that "robbed" Rovers that give him away.

You're not seriously suggesting Houghton was up there with those?

Yes i am..from your list there, barring KC and JR of Sts, are you actually sugesting that Houghton couldn't interchange with the rest of that list.

Houghton would get into every superleague side as an interchange hooker at the very least!!

Also, do you not think Brough/Robinson did very well then??

If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...

Spoken like a true Robin. You're having a laugh here. It won't happen, Mason will be here shortly, it said so in the press last week, but if he were refused a visa it would be carnage after the stick for Crocker, the hypocrisy of Rovers to announce the signing early and the PR campaign on the Willie Mason trail. There would be no tempering of it in the slightest, in fact the complete opposite.

We had a good win over Bradford away (when they still appeared to be a half decent team) and then beat Wakefield in the Semi despite nearly throwing it away..we then put up a reasonable performance against Saints considering our injuries but the general perception was they were there for the taking that day. Good for the club undoubtebly but hardly an endsorsement of Agar. I'm really not interested in what Rovers would have done under the 6 team system since that wasn't the rules we were playing to.

Two? I must have missed Houghtons England bow, I must congratulate him. Disagree about Fox and Briscoe going backwards.

Disagree, there's an art to managing ageing players... Agar just flogged him until he diminished towards the end of the season.
