I agree with what you say but you also have to put the blame on Hodgson for some really poor recruitment yet Pearson trusts him with next seasons recruitment which i find unbelievable and rewards failure.

Waste of money is harsh. He's been alright, In most of the games he's started him and Ligi have laid a good platform.

He may have done but Mau usually plays 80 minutes Evans 30/40 mins so Mau has been on the field double the time of Evans.
Still another poor signing by Hodgson whichever you want to look at it

We dont want alright.Thats the problem with the club accepting mediocrity.
As another poster pointed out he is a plodder,nothing special which is about right.
As an overseas player we need better

Probably our 5th best prop after Satae, Sao, Fash and Brown, I'm not sure you should use a quota spot on your 5th prop.

Anyway he will be here next season and probably gone the year after.

Jury’s still out for me on Evans, yes he’s improved as the seasons gone on but as a player that takes up a quota spot he needs to be making a bigger impact on games. For me he doesn’t offer anything more than say a top end championship forward. For the money I’m sure it could have spent much better and it seemed a panic signing at the time and still does for me. For me quota players should be ones that when you watch a game you can tell who are the quota players. For me Evans whilst not being terrible in all honesty he isn’t anything special either. Admittedly we only really have Satae as a real big hitter and metre maker in the forwards as Taylor is done now which puts more emphasis on the situation.

I’m pretty sure if you went into the NRL Reserve Grade, you could get a younger , cheaper prop than Evans who would do just as well in Super League.

Evans is not the sides biggest problem though at the moment.
