Good Point Paul but how long do we persist with the threat of sharp taking over. I say get it done now sharp will get to the end of the year and both are gone. The option is Agar stays till next year and Sharp gets a contract extension we would be down the pan for several years then? Something I have been pondering for a while

Good point, just how determined are the board and Sharp that he will get a go at being head coach at some point, regardless?

Agar has his failings but you do realise that if Agar goes then Sharp takes over.

We would all like a complete change with the Head coach but it's just not going to happen so if you want Agar sacked then good luck with Sharp.

I'll stick with Agar for now.

If relegation was an issue, would your opinion be different?

I agree with Kosh, in that I have never slated a coach (well not since Walsh), but I fail to see any signs from Agar, that gives me any hope for next season or beyond.

I am quite happy if the club are taking advantage of the 'no relegation' period, as an opportunity to rebuild, develope and restructure the team, rather then knee jerk reaction and panic buying.

Next year will be the time, if Agar fails. He will have no excuses whatsoever next year and both him and Sharp are out of contract, if it's not working then they can get rid of both without it costing anything.

1. The kit lady has 2 less shirts to wash per game - surely Lee's and Maloney's will be clean enough to wear next game.

2. HDM has to use less ink listing the interchanges for our games.

3. I thought post game interviews couldn't get any worse after Peter Sharp, but Agar's are just hilarious! :D

And this is the reason why Rovers are and will forever be considered a small club. Because their fans and board would rather get one over on Hull FC above anything else.

Quite sad, really!

With regards to interchanges, earlier in the season Agar was being blasted for just making interchanges for the sake of it, often ones which people felt where decided before the match. Now he makes them, but not many of them and people are lambarding him for that? If he doesn't feel the players on the bench will add anything more to our game then there is no point him bringing them on for the sake of it and jeprodising results (i know, what results right ;)) for the sake of it.

If he doesn't feel the players on the bench can add to the game, then he needs to CHANGE HIS BENCH selections.

He's following a policy set by Wayne Bennett. ;)

There isn't exactly much more choice though is there?

Who else could have being on the bench against Saints?

Moa, Hall, Broughton, Hodgson

Hardly game changes either are they.

I could accept that aslong as they both come as a package and are treated as THE coaching team.

Its interesting to see Wilkin mentioning that in his opinion Long would make one of the best future British coaches in the game

Agar said so. If he wants to keep his job he has to get it right, he wanted the clear out last year, said so after the Rovers match, but could not do it due to lack of personel available I believe. This season he can make the decisions and I believe he will.
I dont think he will in all honesty, the fact he i would assume wanted Radford to get a new deal was a shocking decision. It would be different if we needed to release players to get under the salary cap but we dont. From our current squad i can only see Tony and Moa not been here next season.
