If it's about rugby league why would he leave a superior competition, his Queensland jersey, his test jersey, better coaching and Melbourne to play for hull?

I didn't mean him directly, the club have made contact/had discussions with whoever it is they've spoken to, if i wasn't clear enough, a siganl of intent perhaps. I don't know whether it was club/agent/player hence why i didn't say that.

Sheldon, when i say about rugby league i mean just to test yourself, or maybe just to do it!! Some come purely for the cash others for various reasons, i don't think Fitzy is here just for $$ for example...



But i'm not James Rule, Cooper Cronk or anyone involved in the game... I'm just a fan!!

Like i say, i just annoys me when people have a go at the club for showing no ambition but when we've come to within 1hr of singing Fielden (late price match by Wigan), Tried to sign LMS (Pipped by Grand finalists Sts), Offered V.Good money for Myler (Turned down by the player) and, allegedly, speaking to CC i think that's ambition but lack of success holds us back. It's a vicious circle but we'll get there, we'll have our turn!!

I don't have a great knowledge of NRL mate and have never claimed to tbh, so don't know alot of the players that get mentioned on here (i don't have premiersports, so just rely on the odd match report). But as i've said, and i'll try to drop it from here on in, that if we are trying to speak to players of Cronk's standard for 2012 or maybe 2011 then you will know which players will be available for transfer or early release perhaps which we should be looking at?



I just wanna see a quality player replace Longy when he goes, we bloody deserve something special!!

The biggest challenge we'd have is to fight off the nrl clubs(bigger salary cap) for the half backs.



There's at least 3 clubs in need for next season.

Every year since 2003 we have always looked for short term options halfback options in the hope of a top class player in the next couple of years, It wont happen. Hull are not a big enough club to sign a proven world class halfback, even if we managed to outbid the many NRL clubs who look to need changes at halfback (plus compensate them for the loss of Origin/test opportunities) we would just get outbid by the likes of Wire, Hudds, Leeds, Saints or Wigan.



We need to find a young player with potential and go from there, topclass halfbacks ae the most sought after players.

A very underrated player imo.

That'd have to be one hell of an argument!! He's never been the best in the world and certainly isn't and wouldn't I'm sure claim to be that now. Has been very good and may still have decent games.

Rumour in fev is that he's signing for warrington but staying at fev on loan for one year...
