Good win and certainly looks like Wakefield are down, sadly for their fans. Thought Taylor and Sao were great tonight, with Lane more direct too. Danny Houghton looked great and Sutcliffe was an inspired signing, always looking to attack and very solid in the tackle. Ref was a bit too involved for me, too many six agains and Clifford's try being ruled out was poor from the officials just as Come On You Ull has said, best stats since Toulouse away, defensively, and we can build on this. Shows how close things are when we are level on points with Saints, albeit played more games and just 4 off the Dragons. Can build into the season and the playoffs should be our goal now, relegation looks banished from our minds now and Smith can take us to a far better level, with some clever recruitment next year. I would definitely have a look at Whitbread for a possible signing , thought he was good and hope for Wakey's loyal diehards that they can survive the drop. Michael Carter was almost resigned to the fact , judging by his pre-match interview and it is hard to see where their next win will be, they have nothing in attack.

Their problem is not just relegation but in reality there is no way back into S/L even with the ground improvements

Griffin makes lots of metres runs his weight in 2nd row I think he will get a late decision Tag definitely another year, Houghton depends on what’s out there.

Hooker is a real dilemna still. Houghton has played his best rugby in years recently, Dwyer is very good at what he does but isn't the man to be our main number 9. Is he happy being a 25-30 impact player off the bench? Then there's Balmforth who I really like the look of and hope we don't end up losing, but obviously he's raw. We need to go look for a quality hooker who can control a game for us, but if we find him, how do we accommodate everyone else? Tough decisions to make on who stays and who goes.

But even Houghton playing "his best rugby in years" still doesn't make you go "wow"

Dwyer was better than Houghton other night cause he makes things happen

Houghton hardly rips teams apart like clark or roby

Wakey fan. Dwyer had a huge hand in you pulling away that second half. He always causes us issues. He creates chaos at the play of ball.

Exactly what we've missed for years some real attacking intent from dummy half
