We need to sign Jake up on 2/3 year contact ASAP if we want to keep him. If we cant agree a deal we need to gcash in on him. Its no good keeping him next year if he is going to go on a free at end of next season. That would be crazy but dafter things happen at FC.

Your chairman said last year's GF eliminator was the baseline for this year's expectations lol. Comfortably short of that sadly aren't you?#goingbackwards

Ok, so having managed to get into the playoffs last year we would obviously hope to do the same this year and yes that was not achieved. That’s a long way from saying we would be grand finalists. As usual you twist things to back up your argument. You never seem to let accuracy get in the way

You got to a Grand Final eliminator and a lot of people including your supporters and chairman stated they expected to go further fact. Even Sky pundits had you down to go well, even going as far as to say that Coote was the missing part of the jigsaw, that’s the reason they still bull you up when your on live
By the way as Saints fans once sung on the way home from the KC “ We’re Shiite and we know we are” trouble is it’s our turn for the fat lady to sing and she’s been singing it to you and your lot for nigh on 37 years. If you don’t like getting roasted don’t post it.

It's not a 'long way'. He suggested that the aim was to at least be 80 minutes away from the Grand Final.

No it's not. If the baseline is a GF eliminator then anything other than progress (a Grand Final) is either stagnation (another GF eliminator) or decline (failing to reach a GF eliminator, or worse failing to reach the play offs). I know a downward trajectory isn't comfortable, but that's the truth. No need to suggest an agenda, you've gone backwards this year and that's a fact.

How about this from Mr Pearson then.

In 2018 Adam Pearson said, ‘We’re going to completely refresh the squad, complacency has set in.’

“Complacency is about to have a bomb thrown at it the following year. ‘We will be challenging for the Grand Final next year - I’ve no doubt about that.’ The year after that: ‘The The Grand Final is the aim, definitely with the squad we’ve got.’ In 2021, ‘The fact remains that we have not performed to the standards we expect at this club. It will be addressed and we will make noticeable improvements for next season.’

Whataboutery

Just answer Mrs B's point re: Hudgel's aim for this season.

To be fair, if it wasn’t for whataboutery, strawmen, false dichotomies, reductio ad absurdum and so on our arguments would lack a bit of flavour. They’d be better… in the same way bran flakes are better for you than crunchy nut cornflakes.

I think the crunchy nuttiness of Keith’s whataboutery also deserves to be acknowledged. Made me smile, anyway.

The trouble is that Keith (and others) only raison d'etre is to come on here and snipe. You, on the other hand are turning into a bit of a psychologist and offering sensible answers (and that won't do).
