If we can sign an big powerful overseas backrower and release Griffin then I'd sign Longstaff, he would be in first 17, but in the fringe squad until he improves his strength in attack and defence.

I'd rather sign Julian from Catalans as think we need to improve our 17 rather than invest in long term projects (when we have a few already), but could take Longstaff as a squad player if we recruit an overseas backrower. My fear is that Longstaff is seen as Ma'u replacemnet and I don't think he is the right type of player we need and isn't ready to play in our best 17 of we want to progress.

Andrew Davy has been released from Manly. Don't think he's what we need age/experience wise, but he plays second row.

Andrew Fifita won't be retained by the Sharks either. Odds on him going to Wakey for a season?

That's what I'd hope will happen. Longstaff plus a 'first team' second row.

With the rumoured second row signing plus Sutcliffe and us wanting Longstaff, I think Griffin could be on the way out

i see Rovers are set to announce Yusuf Aydin from Wakefield. Another very good signing for them.
