There were many factors in losing the game yesterday imo, Childs was certainly top of that list, but a poor kicking game, Long losing his head and interchanges are certainly in that list as well imo, and not least the fact that Castleford were on the park and put in a passionate and committed performance.Our lads and coach can walk away with their heads high - we are playing some great Rugby League at the moment, our passing game and speed of PTB is much improved and our defence is committed as the score line shows. I think if we can keep up at that level then we will be ok this season.
That game was an incredible disappointment for me - not the result, but it was clear that we had two Rugby League teams, evenly matched, willing to go all out to produce a fantastically entertaining game, but it was utterly destroyed by the man with the whistle. That is not what sport is all about.
