Is it true that Richard Agar's favorite movie of all time is Groundhog Day or does he just generally like the same boring s**t day after day, season after season?

Re: WESTERMAN SIGNING CONFIRMED : Thu Oct 28, 2010 7:25 am
I need whoever brokered this deal for Cas to start selling my unwanted possessions on ebay, I’ll be a millionaire by this time next year. :P

Decent player, but two thing give me cause for concern over this signing, the first being the fee, way ott imo.

The second is that word potential, do we currently have the quality coaching needed to ensure that our investment meets or exceeds his potential? I think not.

All good stuff, glad we have shown intention by spending some cash.

Is does make you wonder though, if we had kept him in the first place, we would be £150k better off

Get a grip. £150'000 is not a lot of money for what we are getting. I think Cas are the ones who have come out worse, £150000 basically pays the wages of a couple of average players for 1 season.

Great signing at last!
Good to the club put in big money for a young lad with bags of talent for once.

Re: WESTERMAN SIGNING CONFIRMED : Thu Oct 28, 2010 7:49 am
But, but, but the club has no ambition and directors take all the money from the club

This is a terriffic signing for two reasons, firstly he is a hugely talented player and when he first came onto the scene a couple of seasons back everyone raved about him and all the big clubs have been sniffing around him. Secondly it means we will now have a proper 13 again rather than just another prop ala Fitz/Radders. The only negative is that he had a poor season last time out and he has been in trouble a few times off the pitch. Maybe he just needs a change from Cas and a fresh challenge?

Either way this is excellent news as we have now signed two top young british players and all we need now is some halfback cover and we are sorted.

Well done to the Agar, Kath and the club.

I agree to a certain extent. It just seems odd to spend that kind of money on a transfer fee for this type of player. Don't get me wrong I like Westerman but if were paying transfer fees we should be looking to get in players like Rangi Chase as a priority.

Regardless of that it does show we are prepared to go out and actively seek young talented British players which bodes well for the future.

Apart from the fact that Cas might have made it quite clear Chase is not available? We offered money for Myler at Wire but it never happened.

Yeh I thought that straight away! Sack who let him go.....Oh we probably already have done!

For me its a good signing but more important is the fact that the club has shown some enterprise and willingness to spend money as we have seen Warrington do in the last few years, I did'nt honestly think they had it in them, so I'm surprised and perhaps, just a bit, it shows the board having the same ambition as we as fans have, its good stuff indeed, but with the wage he will be on I expect that if we get Rovelli or someone similar that will be it! Still one of the top young British players a play maker, old fashioned loose forward and on the fringe of the England team. Off the field we will have to start with him as we mean to go on though.
