Fitz wasn't named at 13 against Bradford, Westerman was. We played essentially the same as we always do. Just on Sunday Tickle was running the middle channel that Fitz normally does.

Who was first receiver? There was times (especially early on in the season) when Fitz would be it numerous times an attack.

Westy appeared to play the majority of the game down the right hand side channel in the 2nd rowers position. His natural game is to pass the ball about and show off his skills, it doesn't necessarily mean he was playing at LF, just that he plays that position alot differently to Ticks.

With Manu playing the left hand channel, it left Tickle, Moa, Fitz, O'Meley, Lauaki and Dowes rotating in the three prop positions that Agar utilises.

I think the OP is right in what he is saying, but not sure on what point he's trying to prove though.

Obst or Horne, mostly. The Fitz thing gets blown out of proportion he rarely gets the ball and passes, unless its late at the line like ogre. The few times it happens it us painfully slow, mind.
Westerman played excellently as a right sided pivot type second rower. But he didn't play it from down the middle like a conventional loose forward.
I think Westy down the right and Manu down the left is an excellent 2nd row partnership.

Horne or Obst were usually 1st receiver! I think when Fitz does step in there he is trying to do a job that isn't his, but in a way that he is trying 2 lead the team being the captain and warrior that he is.

You are spot on, this is when we look very dangerous. Tickle is an excellent 2nd rower but I think he is more suited to running his excellent lines around the ruck rather than out wide.

You are totally spot on! And I am just making the point that some people on here claim to know everything but are missing things straight in front of their eyes!

Tickle does that anyway, which is why our right side rarely produces much. Tickle can be our Gallen when Fitz goes.

Plus they are not as comfortable passing that way. Tbh whatever the make up of the three it's a good combination for next season. I would personally like to Westy played at 13 with the freedom to roam as he could do more damage and have Manu left and another backrower on the right. That way Tickle could play prop.
