What should be under investigation is the numpty who dreamed up the dual-reg scenario in the first place

I can see the logic in preventing clubs from strengthening their team for the last few games, in the same way as transfer deadlines work,
but I cannot find any reference to "must have played 3 matches before a deadline date " anywhere on the RFL website.

Dual Registered Players who have a Salary Cap Value of £20,000 or more i.e. those who receive a category A, B, C or D classification, must have played in at least three League or League Cup fixtures for the Championships club that season before the end of season registration deadline which applies in that Competition in order to play in games which fall after that deadline whether they be regular season or Play Off games.

Thanks for that - I tried googling all sorts, but not "three League".

After being presented with fresh evidence relating to previous historical breaches of Operational Rules by other clubs which had not faced similar sanctions, the Appeals Tribunal sitting at Red Hall this afternoon overturned the points deductions.(Doncaster & Batley)

The RFL had to give in as Doncaster had confirmed with them that Crooks was ok to play

So players who cannot get in the U19's or the first team should just kick their heels? Dual reg is better than nothing.
