Re: Leeds at home : Thu Mar 07, 2019 1:00 pm
Reckon we'll (Leeds) struggle with this one.

Bit of wind in you sails with 2 wins on the spin. Sneyd will pin us back all night and as we have seen on several occasions this year we simply cannot clear our lines when we need to.

Right edge as everyone saw is a concern for us and we've gone without Watkins this week as he's apparently struggled with his knee this week. Which I can believe considering how he was trampled all over by Tupou at the weekend. Not sure whether we'll go with youth in Newman or move Sutcliffe out to centre and see Ablett come back in. Either way I can't see that edge suddenly looking solid any time soon. Sutcliffe not really hitting any heights for us and Ablett hasn't played for months and even when he was, he was showing signs of slowing down.

What's the story with Ellis? Will he just be playing for as long as he needed? Did I see somewhere that you had players out of your squad playing elsewhere this weekend? Picking Ellis in front of anyone that was in your squad at the start of the year doesn't seem to tally- in the short term absolutely it does but in the long term not so much.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

No Litten last night and not in the squad today. Is he hurt?

Or is this a secret plan to surprise everyone when he is picked at fullback?
He's in the squad announced yesterday.

So he is. That's a relief.

I've just bought my first pair of reading glasses but I'm still in denial and won't wear them.

Did you buy them from Mr. Zucchini Head?

Litten isn't in the squad, but I would agree. Leeds have some big immobile lumps in their pack and Litten could have exploited that.

Just seen that Watkin and Ward are out for Leeds (Ward for some time).

Do a good defensive job on their new centre, Hurrell and let Ferris be the usual penalty machine and we should be in with a decent shout with this one.

Almost a year since I tipped Hull at the KCOM to end an 11 game losing run against Leeds. Today I confidently tip a repeat win.

I am not so sure, yes Leeds are depleted and seem to be struggling, but they are our bogey side. I hope you are right though.

Not sure which is more of a disgrace, that you don't know the operational laws of the game or that you consider a comparison of one player to another as being racist.

Definitely the latter, and really the racism post should have been Sir Kevin Sinfields swan song.

I am going to attempt to clear up what I was trying to say when I asked if casual racism had been used.

Is it racist to compare a black player with another black player, no obviously not, however if skin colour is the reason the two players have been compared, then yes it is racist.

Hull’s Ratu Naulago been compared to Mark Calderwood seems odd to me, granted I have only seen him on highlights, but other than playing wing I didn’t see much in common.

I am not saying this is unique to Hull, recently a young Leeds player Muizzi Mustapha has been compared to ex players Darren Flearly and Anthony Farrell. I have challenged Leeds fans on this as I believe the reason they are been compared is skin colour rather than playing style. I would say young Mustapha direct hard runs are more like Barrie McDermott, yet I have heard nobody compare the two.

I hope this post does not warrant deleting/a warning/ban, I am just trying to clear my previous point up.
