It's a bad one from Pyrce, he is a young kid and did show remorse, but he is lucky he didn't end Wynne season or worst, so should be looking at a long ban, probably 5 games plus.
Imagine if it had been Connor.
There'd be an outcry wouldn't there? It gets worse each time I view it, missed it yesterday, still recovering from covid , but the radio didn't actually make it sound that bad- thats got to be a minimum 8 games, a young Aussie lad died as a result of similar, that is how serious the consequences can be. Awful tackle, sure he regrets it but lets not allow that to detract from what is a very serious incident, very possibly the worst we'll see this season.
There can be no doubt that that was a very very bad tackle and no matter whether Pryce intended it or not (which I very much doubt he did) the fact is that it could have been more than just a career ending tackle and Wynn has been so lucky he wasn't seriously injured.
Yes Pryce certainly seemed distressed and remorseful at the time (hopefully because he'd realised the seriousness of what he'd done and not just for getting a red) but non the less these are the tackles that need punishing severely as opposed to the 2/3 bans we've seen so far for almost minimal contact with the head. I think he will be a very relieved young man that he didn't cause a serious injury and accept any ban that will surely come.
If its not more than 5 games I'd be disappointed and very surprised even for a player with a clean record such was the seriousness of the tackle in being beyond reckless.
