Does anyone know what the rules are with the salary cap these days? Like if you say paid a player £50k to leave now, does that £50k then become free on the cap? I.e. is it just wages to date that count or full wages for the full season?

I don't know but seriously doubt there's cash to pay off players and bring many new ones in.

Creditors of £5m. Maybe administration and reboot is the way forward, in a lower division obviously.

Only a diehard fan would buy any SL team right now, only Wakefield turned a profit last year and that's through operating on a shoestring and look at how that is now going...

Then SKY could send the game back to part-time with a click of their fingers with the new TV deal. You'd buy a team as a plaything if you have money to burn and that's all.

If the debt is as bad as people say then losing our SL spot would end the club, no doubt so this isnt an option in all reality. I mean I dont get why you would think that is.

The trouble is one minute Pearson says one thing then in the next he is saying tbe opposite. I have heard he has turned down investment.
