Don’t think attacking wise we didn’t play too badly, we put 5 try’s on the board which would usually be enough to get a win, but the defence and mentality of this side is yet again concerning.
Hodgson didn’t get it right for me yesterday, and he’ll get some stick, but I cannot sit here and blame him for our players Knocking the ball on from our own kick off, behind and chasing the game from minute 1 against a side desperate for its first win of the season, shocking. Not been able to pack a scrum again, absolutely criminal
This is a squad who has a similar cap amount as saints, let that sink in, and how far away we are from saints as a club. This is years of poor recruitment and retention coming to haunt us.
For Leeds, Lovodua has to start, he’s earned it and he was the biggest positive from our perspective
I am now starting to think it's Adam - compare Adam to Shane Richardson. He's simply too nice. He emailed me a couple of times saying that he knew sacking Lee Radford was a choice but felt he wanted to stick with him. BH is no head coach - we would have won at Cas if we were going to finish Top 4 this year. Once again likely 7th-10th and that really is GARBAGE. Utter GARBAGE for the fan base and passholders and max salary cap. Adam needs to hire a head coach that is stronger, much stronger, than AP is.

To be honest I think BH has to take a big chunk of the blame with his selection for yesterday, his use of the interchanges again very questionable and the fact that even with the opportunity of half time nothing seemed to have been changed in terms game plan or getting the message to the players to improve their line speed.
At half time surprisingly we were still in the game despite the shocking first half performance yet we still continued to throw the game away in the 2nd half. Cas weren't anything great, just desperate and played that way yet we just continued from the first few seconds to shoot ourselves in the foot.
Not putting Lovodua on earlier and for BH to sit watching the debacle and not bring him on earlier was criminal.

Well Reading one write up and seen a lot question and mention attitudes, they compared Houghton stint as lethargic whereas Lovodua brought zip and energy, surely he has to now start.
Another was Shaul who was exposed badly in defense, its the same players who alot on here have called out in the past year, yet here they are starting when we have better alternatives.
Either be brave and drop a couple of hometown favourites or keep putting them in and expecting change.
I will say when Carlos, Macintosh, Mau, Cator and Galr are all back, the ones I think aren't good enough won't be anywhere near the match day squad.

Yup, cant argue with that.
I hate singling out individuals, and he wasn't the worst yesterday, but Jordan Johnstone playing 60 mins at LF, after Fash put a great shift in there only last week, and with the likes of Lovodua on the bench, is nothing short of baffling. Don't doubt his effort, but a club of our size and ambition needs more than just effort and I just don't think he's got it.

It was a total poop show and personally for me Houghton offered very little and was pretty much ineffective and our right hand side defensively was awful. If BH doesn't change things for the Leeds game then I really question his ability to coach the team. I don't think many come out that game with any credit to be fair as Houghton wasn't the only one and I'm not singling him out but its the fact Lovodua was sat on the bench for so long and BH had the option available to make a change yet failed to do so until far too late.
Yes we had players missing but so did Cas yet they steamrolled us completely it was verging on embarrassing.

Still got too many players who aren't performing and are taking up a big chunk of salary, Reynolds, Shaul and Houghton.
Add to this fringe players that aren't good enough and a couple of youngsters who aren't quite ready, as soon as we have a few injuries we aren't good enough.
Our forwards don't do enough work in attack, we seem to still rely on backs do the hard work, your best prop should be taking the ball up more than 8 times, compare this to other teams main props
Chris Hill 18 Luke Yates 16 Walmsley 16 Westerman 22 Mikolaj Oledzki 15 Fifita 14
Sate should be doing 15 a game minimum, but we prefer to use weak player like Shaul.
Only one forward getting into double figures is embarrassing, looking at the teams, we should have been using our forwards to battle them down the middle
Add to this, our most dynamic player not coming onto the 50 minute, your hooker gets sinbinned and you bring on JJ for Satae, just madness.
Hodgson has his tactics and subs all wrong and unless he improve, it will cost him his job.

I would have to watch the trys again, but I thought Mcnamara was at fault for 3 trys defensively yesterday.
I wouldn't mind that if he offered some threat but he doesn't, issue is we don't have much other options at halfback right now, could go with Shaul at FB and Connor and 6, but don't think that improves us at all.

That's why I said the BH really has to take a big chunk of the blame for yesterday p15s poor performance. Evans hardly got played which to some extent I can understand but if you are going give him limited time then why also limit the time for another player on the bench in Lovodua? To only bring him on when is was pretty much too late as the rest of the team had pretty much folded at that point is just crazy. BH's use of the interchanges really is questionable and on the showings so far this season Lovodua is ahead of both Houghton & Johnstone.
If BH was only going to play Evans for a very minimal time then why also go with both Lovodua & Johnstone on the bench instead of just one of them and have Bowden on the bench.
