I can see why the club are doing it, but I'll still be gutted to see him play for another SL club.

Biggest issue is keeping the fans on side, I don't think they would be happy with the deal above, as most won't have heard of either player.

It would go against what Smith said yesterday, where he likes eyes up attacking rugby - there isn't anyone better than Conner at that. Who could we get? After the high of yesterday I feel deflated again now

Only rumour but looks like it could happen. Gutted if true .But if he wants to go then so be it .can't imagine it's a rash move by him Rumours he was going last year . Nobody knows what goes on behind the scenes although a few dream they do . As long as we get a top signing to replace him .Saying that still gutted if he goes

Wardle still isn't getting on with Watson and didn't make the Wire move permanent

Would be very disappointing if we lose our best attacked player, HOWEVER, trying to keep a bit of positivity.... hopefully now having a quality coach will make us much less heavily reliant on one man. If we can invest Jake's salary into other areas and Smith can bring some improved attacking structures we may find ourselves a more balanced team with more options and less predictability. Fingers crossed anyway!!

TBH I was very concerned about our half back situation for next season. I reckon Hoy will play FB amd Trueman isnt a 7.
