I'd rather it was Whitehead but he's still a quality player with a winning mentality. Certainly better than our current second row options.

Bateman’s 4yrs younger so would be the better option,he is a winner and a bit of a mongrel as well.

You can't still pay a player big bucks even if not a marquee. Pretty sure you can put whatever players that fit the marquee aspect.

So may take one off been marquee and put Bateman forward as one

So you can pay Abdull say 150k but it is effectively £50k on the cap after the £50k marquee allowance is applied which enables us to sign both Asiata and Bateman?

I thought all 3 marquee players had to be on a minimum of £175k.

I'm not disputing what you say just seeking clarification.

I'm almost certain you nominate your marquee players. Donut would be whichever three are the cheapest overall I would think. I suspect that would be Abdull, Asiata and then Bateman probably over Trueman.

I may stand corrected but I'm certain you can nominate players and change them around.
