Think the half to come to us (should Connor leave) has to be one of NRL quality. The club cannot let someone like Connor go and replace him with a significant downgrade. Clifford fits the bill quite well, only 24 and is a decent goal kicker to add to the equation.

Clifford has the potential to be great in Super League. I'm not sure he's well known enough to shift a lot of tickets but he's the right age and has the right skillset. I see him ending up at a top 4 SL club though.

Yeah just read that article and it seems Clifford is on a lot bigger salary than Clune so would we be able to afford him?

Shame if not as it seems he possesses a great kicking game and high bomb which we are missing at the moment.

Only other 7 is Wakeham who both us and Wire have been linked with.

He's following Wire on Instagram though which is usually an indication on who he's probably signed for

I agree, I think Carlos could go well at 2nd Row. He doesn't have raw pace, but he elusive, strong and runs a good line

Just an absolutely bizarre situation and it would be so deflating after all the positivity Smith coming in has generated.

To have our best player in effect say 'I'm too good for you and want to leave' is something which can't be spun into a positive. If he had left for the NRL its a totally different situation.

Greenwood is OOC and haven't seen or heard anything if he's got a new deal at Huddersfield or anywhere else. Mentioned him on here a few weeks ago as would be worth looking at as he can play both backrow and prop..
