depends a lot on who is writing it sometimes a partisan reporter will state something that is rumoured to flush out the reaction of the fans as an indicator to the clubs owners of the likely ramifications of their proposed action. It was a tactic the great Dick Tingle used from time to time in hard times.

For me Hoy is an out and out full back so not sure where that leaves Connor.

The issue with signing a decent 7, is its pretty late for recruitment. OK we may lose Connor for free, but at least we would know around April and we could plan accordingly and would have a couple more non fed spots to play with

Heard once again that we have approached Rovers with regards to signing Abdul.

You’d have thought the club would only enquire if the player themselves were interested?

I'd normally take it with a pinch of salt but the guy who told me also told me about Rovers signing Batchelor and Aydin a good few weks before both were officially announced.

Love it. Great to create some interest and see fans (ours and those of other clubs) tie themselves in knots e.g. "Fatty" Abdull whilst at FC, transformed into an international by Tony Smith, now what?
