Evans was doing fine. Some nice carries and good shots in defence, I just can't understand why he is only getting 15 minutes each week, he doesn't particularly look unfit.

Yes I agree thought Evans and brown brought energy from the bench in the first half. I actually thought BH got the bench right today but it's the use of the bench that was dreadful again

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Just wonder what they do at training to look so abject is most facets of the game.

No what I mean is Houghton was ok early in made some good runs and got us the field but he ran out of gas again as BH continues to flog him for 80mins instead of spelling him. We just don’t change anything in a game either when things aren’t working. Why did we not take Houghton off, move Lovodua to 9 and Fash or Brown to 13. That would have least been a change to try and spark some creativity and give Rivers something different the think about instead we just keep doing the same old stuff that isn’t working in the hope it suddenly makes a difference.
Rovers were the better side and deserved the win but in truth we were abysmal and just too easy to defend against.

Lovodua isn’t a 9 and would have been wasted there. The point of a 7 & 9 is to control a ruck and neither did any of that today

Just amend my reply. Griffin was poor like everyone else but he is a good player.

Time to rebuild, play the youth.

Although not sure the fans have the patience for a couple of years.

Rovers today choose not to play 2 overseas players who have underperformed, we did to follow suit.

Good argument to introduce the Captain’s Challenge after those two horrendous ‘Knock On’ decisions by James Child today.

Would love to see him interviewed to explain where he thought the ball was knocked foward???

Hull we’re poor today and Rovers out-enthused us (just like Cas and Hudds did), however the ‘knock on’ awarded against Mckintosh directly led to Rovers second try.

[quote="Mrs Barista"]What else can you say? Rovers are top dogs in the city at the moment - that's the truth. And unless our big earners start justifying their wages it will remain so. Such is life, but nothing remains the same in the city for long, who knows what's coming next?[/quote

Reynolds has been washed up for a good while, injuries have took their toll on him.

Wynne in for Griffin
Lovodua for Reynolds
Mcnamara for Gale

Let's have some accountability for performances. Who knows it my deflate some egos and breed some consistency, as those 3s performances wasn't acceptable

Thought Sao and Brown, Mau had a right go, Houghton wasn't bad either

Connor, Swift just didn't happen for them wernt in sync at all.

No the appalling defensive effort from Griffin lead to the 2nd try.

THANK YOU Mr. PEARSON, FOR RIDDING US OF FCKWIT FUBAR, CEO TOOL AND THE STINKING UNCLE KATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY DON'T THE DOBBINS PLAY IN GREEN SHIRT, GREEN SHORTS AND GREEN SOCKS IN ORDER TO EXPRESS THEIR INFINITE ENVY OF EVERYTHING BLACK AND WHITE??

Re: Good Friday Derby : Fri Apr 15, 2022 2:44 pm
Hodgson is completely out of his depth and that is reflected in our shambles of a team on the pitch. His recruitment is a complete joke as well, Gale, Reynolds, Evans and Macintosh are an expensive embarrassment of signings. Add that to a finished Houghton and an absolutely awful Griffin and we are a literal shambles. The season was over before it began and a big clear out is needed. Start by sending Hodgson home and giving Ellis a chance to show how you get something out of one of SL's most expensive squads.
