Confirmed by the club, Treigh Stewart no longer joining us because of an ‘alleged domestic violence charge’.

Something must have come up in his visa application?

Guess that opens up a quota spot to sign Rimbu then.
Still need to offload Okunbor and get somebody else in, preferably at centre, but that likely depends on what Walker is doing and wether we will need a good full back or not.
Offload Ock and Pele for a centre and full back would he nice.

Interesting the club takes a zero tolerance on domestic violence, but has Ashworth on the books, and also agreed to the signings of hardaker and Okunbor with their previous indirections?

This leaves us very light at full back should Walker be off at end of season

Obviously the influence of our new coach and his zero tolerance approach to unprofessional behaviour. If that is the case long may it continue. He has his hand on the pulse of what is happening over there and it will have been flagged up by him immediately it surfaced in the media over there. For me, this is quite frankly exactly the right thing to do every time you can't condone that sort of stuff and we shouldn't have in the past, players have to appreciate the responsibility participating in professional sport carries. I wouldn't be surprised if he was trying to get out of Aus to avoid facing up to it but anyway if this is true you wonder how he would have got a visa anyway. As for Myler well Ive spoken to several folks at the club both on the playing and backroom side of things and the word most often used is ruthless; after what has gone before I quite like that!

I'm pretty sure Stewart was coming for 18 months with the club knowing that Walker wanted out. We will now look to replace Stewart, probably with an NRL signing - plenty of quality full backs over there who can't get in first grade.

The right thing to do, especially if still going through a process and outcomes undetermined etc.i applaud them making the decision

I think it shows mylers naivety in the role as well, and will probably take a bit more time on due diligence moving forward. Maybe too be expected.

Shouldn’t bow to the pressure of people wanting good news or a 6pm announcement and rush these things through as you can and have end up with egg on your face as a club, just to appease the instant gratification supporters .
