Bit of a contradiction to the claims when we signed G.Ellis that agents were knocking our door down etc......There are numerous occasions where Bomber has contradicted himself, he needs to shut the feck up and concentrate on not losing any more of our decent players
We haven't lost anyone. Moa, Manu and Turner are all OOC, they're not ours to lose.

A current international, plus two in the knights so far. Not too bad for half way through the season.

We lost Manu & Turner it was well documented in the media with quotes from the club that we tried to retain those players, especially Manu, retention of quality is as important as signing quality
Kris Welham is in the Knights however I doubt fans would be excited about signing him! on saying that I am not unhappy about the signings of Arundel or Watts however I expect better signings to be made in the future if we are serious about competing.

To lose and to not retain are different things. Retention is important, however by all accounts we did all we could to retain Manu and Turner so it was nothing to do with McRae concentrating on retaining them.

That's not entirely right, we may well indeed be being flooded by agents offering us players. It doesn't automatically follow that they are;
A) Any good; B) In positions we need; C) Worth the money they are wanting.

Better signings may still be made. It's June.
It has every-thing to do with McRae he appears to be the one holding negotiations and speaking to the media every week often contradicting himself and generally starting to spout shiite
I agree it is only June and hopefully better signings will be made, however Bomber is starting to imply finding quality is proving difficult after telling us after we signed G.Ellis that agents were knocking the door down...now either agents are no longer knocking or door down or we are only investing in an average wage player (Barring G.Ellis), I hope my theories are wrong but like I say Bomber should keep it shut and let his actions speak louder than his words presently are.

Maybe but he needs to keep his own counsel then, we need to attract fans back, the club made a statement on intent with this signing G.Ellis followed by statements that agents are banging our door down, AP promising signings that will enforce our statement of intent etc...now we have well the players are hard to find stories coming out, generally fans are gutted we have lost Manu, we have had a poor run of form, rumours not all is well with the club, statements of punitive measures in place at the club etc...none of this will entice the fans back through the gate. Our media dept seriously needs addressing, and Bomber needs to stop all this pointless talking

I don't disagree that McRae talks too much, but he's not contradicting himself as you claim. You're the one who has interpreted 'agents knocking down the door' as quality players falling over themselves to play for us. I'd expect it to be much more like when you or I buy something from somewhere and are then bombarded with emails and letters trying to sell us all sorts of other s**te as well. It doesn't mean it's suddenly easy to find what you actually want/need.

Maybe it is my interpretation, however Bomber went to the media claiming that Manu had to make his mind up etc, a few weeks later regarding Whiting & Turner he said he was in no rush because as a club we understand that it is a big decision etc, now for me that is a contradiction of how we operate as a club. It is not so much my interpretation of a quality player but more the statements made by the club that we will be getting quality players to challenge, I could get the links up but presently I do not have time.
Could it not be the case that agents are very interested in getting their players into our club, but that there's a distinct shortage of players in certain positions?
