McKinnon in as worst..wtf,the bloke oozed class and yes he let the club down the team when he went home.Todd Byrne anyone for worst fullback.
Motu Tony worst FB in last 10 years, previous poster put Craig Hall, thought was really unfair, filling in a gap due to injury whereas Tony displaced SB and was frankly bang average at FB considering he was a a NZ international. Best players since 2006
McKinnon Briscoe Yeamn (but 2006/2010? Yeamo) Crooks Raynor Horne Head Moa Houghton Watts Manu Minichello Cooke

Ellis King Carvell O'Meley
Each to their own,
King was living on past form by the time we got to the 2006 season
Head - must have only played about a dozen games? Better then Sneyd? On the basis of games played not being an issue, I'd have gone for Martin Gleeson at Centre
But Crooks? The very definition of bang average (Dream team or not). Not fit to lace Fonua boots.

Tony our worst FB, guess you didn't attend in 2006, was excellent, played a massive part in getting to the GF that year, Leeds away he was unplayable. Hall (I think you are related) and Byrne were much worse.
So in the last 10 years our best FB and SH are players who played about 10 games each?
Apart from those two and Crooks, what had one good season (Fonua still had a better this year), you haven't done too badly for someone who only watches the odd games and highlights.

Motu had some good games at FB but just not enough and frankly there were times as the regular FB he was very very shaky and cost us many tries, Hall was played there as cover when he was what 21 without ever(?) playing a senior game there before, hence why I thought it was unfair to include him. Byrne's level never dropped to that of which I saw of MT too many times, he very solid if not unspectacular, he was also mostly a winger, however THAT tackle he pulled off, if you've watched more than a few games and highlights you'll know which one I'm referring to, takes him well out of contention for worst FB.
Fonua was exceptional for half a season, Crooks as a rookie (along with 4 other rookies that were in the first 17 that year) was on fire from the get-go and offered us more than Fonua as an overall package (pace, passing, timing/link up play with Lineham that was unerring and even kicking) There's no doubt MF has bags of talent, power and loves his rugby and I like him as a player, he certainly sparked a lot of what we did this season at centre. That Crooks fell away for whatever reason in 2014 shouldn't dent what he did previously which for a rookie was oustanding and we've lacked that classy centre play since and even beforehand. I did consider Martin as it happens but he wasn't the Martin of old when he played for us.
And for someone who is having a pop at another fan for how many actual games they attend which is rather tired and a bit pathetic (I suppose you travel 310 miles for a home game right?) you clearly can't have watched us much when Matty Head did play because he was absolute class.

Roses tinted to say the least. Crooks made his debut in 2012. Therefore his better season for Hull (2013) was not his rookie (dreadful americanism btw) season. You are misunderstanding what essentially was 3 very good displays (Wire away, Leeds at home and Wigan at home) in side surrounded by some fairly average players. As mentioned, not good enough to lace Fonua's boots.

I only watch the odd games and highlights now so does that put me in his bracket.I don't agree with all his choices but its good to see someone not going with Fitzgibbon just because of his name.
