But these people were so keen for Ogre to apologise for something it turns out he didn't do. I don't understand why they haven't been rushing to offer the same courtesy to him.
You won't see any. I said very early on in this thread that I was there and saw the whole thing and that Ogre never flicked any Vs I also said that our fans were chanting his name in support of him and still 10 pages further on people are asking for proof of what happend. The OP, in no doubt would have been one of the people in the group with the banner. The same group of people who thought it correct to confront fellow fans after the match who didn't have the same opinion (That they should get behind the team on the field and that any banners etc isn't going to help the team perform). The same group who were escorted to the coaches by stewards. I'm more than confident we'll see a similar thing from the in the middle of south stand on Friday.
I haven't read all 21 pages of this thread so apologise in advance if this point has already been made.
I wasn't at the game yesterday but one of my friends was and was sitting quite close to the small group of protesters with the banner (although he was not with them). He says that Ogre motioned to them to lower the banner and when they did not do so he did make a V sign at them.
I'm not going to condemn him for that at the end of a match when emotions were still running high and adrenalin was pumping and think that the OP (who may well have been one of the protesters)has hugely overeacted.
It does seem to be the case that the players are behind Agar and much as we want him out we have to accept this.
Right it has been established O'meley did not do the Vs, I apologise for calling him a t0sser (in my defence I was upset yesterday with it all), however had I taken a banner to the match with Agar Out and O'Meley indicated for me to take it down I would have told him to get stuffed tbh.
All last week fans came on here and were ranting about Agar out, yet some-one takes a banner with Agar Out and they have being mocked on this board, I find it unbelievable honestly I do.
If fans take banners it does not mean they do not support the team, (they would just stay away for that), it means they do not support the coach, how else should fans show their feelings, come on here and whinge all week ?

Fair enough.

Some ranted, some didn't. And it's not the fact that they took a banner that has been 'mocked' but what they got up to with it and how they responded to criticism from fellow fans.

Some accounts report that this group were, in fact, cheering for Hudds rather than FC. That was bound to pi$$ off the majority of fans who would have turned up to support the lads in the hope of a win. Follow that up with a protest that appeared at least to be aimed partly at the players following a performance that hadn't been lacking in effort and you get the situation we had yesterday.
This is one of the reasons I'm not a fan of protests generally - they tend to be divisive at a time when fans and players really need to be together.
I must admit I wasn't looking forward to yesterday and, although the defeat may hasten Agar's departure (I'm not holding my breath), when I actually got in the ground, I was after only one thing, an FC victory. I was disappointed but not surprised that we lost, but there were signs of improvement, either because of, or despite Agar.
That said, are we waiting for the OP to come back with a response, or should this just be locked now?
I was sat right behind the pink hat agar out flag merchants. O'Meley did not flick V's - he just gave a hand signal which I would have interpreted as jog on. O'Meley had had a right battle up front with their big lads all day and will have just thought, you're having a laugh.
I want Agar out and have signed the petition but this is just an outright lie.
Still no apologies forthcoming? I would have thought that the OP at least would have wanted to retract his rather hasty and ill-informed rant.
Oh well.
Morning Kosh
Look, i made the post within 10 mins of the game, I was radged, well annoyed that my club is in a heap. I really don’t want to hear club apologists saying how good Udders are and how its difficult to play there, we were rubbish and will continue to be so.
As for Omeley, he did react, no doubt, at the time I did think he flicked v's (like Craven did and was it Wilson or Aston) anyway, the sign clearly got to him, and for me thats the point. I do apologise for alleging the V’s
You can take it 2 ways:
Should he be professional, not react, ignore it and quietly let it inspire him to be better?
Or does the reaction shows he cares? Before yesterday i loved him, he’s our best forward consistently, I for one have criticised the Club for being so far removed from the fans, is this a hint that the players give a flying monkeys.
If it is the second then fine, but let the players channel this into ripping a new one in Crusaders.
I'm utterly pig sick of loosing, pig sick of £80 days out for nowt, pig sick of dull rugby. Something has to give, now the three things which can "give" as we know is: players, the coaching team, the board.
This club matters to us, the fans, the lifeblood of the club, currently the club is lacking a heartbeat

Well played for the apology, and I can't argue with many of your points there TBH. I'd add a 4th thing that can give - the fans. That's starting to happen right now.

We'll put it to bed then
As for the fans, you are half right, some will drift off, but mahybe not enough to impact on the board. As for me, i've booked Wigan and London, might be my last away games for a while
