But why are you advocating that Pearson and his team need a deterrent? There's been nothing in his previous administering of sporting clubs to indicate that he operates with anything other than the highest integrity.
Fining Hull now would make absolutely no difference to the way Pearson operates and other clubs are not daft enough not to acknowledge that fact.
Punishment of the individuals may make people reflect on their own accountabilities within office, though, and make them more likely to consider the consequences of their own actions. Punishing Hull would be a token gesture that may make the RFL appear to be addressing issues in a tough way to certain naive parties. In reality, it would have no,effect at all, imo.
