ATEOD what he does in his private life is exactly that, as a Rugby player he gave us his all and score some of the best tries I've seen in the game.

He may have screwed up and he'll pay the price for that but you lot seem to think you own the guy. What he does out of rugby is up to him and not us, he owes us sweet FA. Its probably no different to one of us lot coming back from Holiday and selling cheap cigs in the pub, some of you people need to get a life big time.

Sorry I disagree, he is a sportsman who is/was in a very enviable position, he is a ROLE MODEL for youngsters who follow the sport, his racial attack was a disgrace for him the club and the fans, had it being most of us we would have been sacked !! how does he repay the loyalty shown by the club and most of the fans, carries on allegedly with illegal activities, he is either a thick lover or just plain arrogant..

People should choose their role models, if they feel they need them at all, based on what sort of person they are rather than the job they do. Like the rest of us, kids need to learn to seperate people from the things they do and consider the merits of each seperately.

Hmmm...

As someone whose wages were paid by the fans, I would suggest that he was obligated not to do anything that potentially brought the club into disrepute or adversely affected his ability to do his job. What he has done would fall into that category.

Have you seen the figures involved? And the amount of time this went on for? A rather large difference in scale at the very least.

He owes us nothing, he did his job on the field whatever he did off it is upto him.

Yes I agree every-one makes their own choices in their private life, and he will pay the price for his choices, I know he did a job on the field but as tolerant as I consider myself I lost all respect of him after the racist attack so I have no sympathy for him and I am glad he has got the boot if I be honest.

How could anything he do bring the club into disrepute ? Not as if we're going to get the blame for what he's done is it ? As a player he gave his all, he made a mistake big bloody deal. I doubt selling some cartridges or whatever it is (not being sad enough to read that into it) affected his playing ability all of a sudden. What would you do if the people who paid your wages told you, you can't drink in your free time as they thought it may affect your performance or said stop smoking because you may get cancer in the future which would "affect" your work. ATEOD this is all BS, he's made a mistake off the field and will be dealt with with the right authorites, it isn't an enxcuse for everyone on here to pretend there angels of all a sudden and are the upmost professionals themselves.

Does it really matter how long it went on for ? The principle is no different. For people on here to be suggesting he was a bad apple at the club, he owes us everything bla bla is complete ridiculous. What he did in his private life is exactly that private and sweet FA to do with any of us.
