The difference being in this case, is that every stage of the Mason/Dobson saga has been 'managed' (very badly). What you're alluding to was 'administrative error' which at the time was embarassing, but not deliberate.

I fail to see why anybody would blame HKR for the situation, the RFL only had to say 'no' to us ,surely?
