It's a shame Batchelor is a done deal to Rovers by all accounts as he would be a great signing and fit the bill perfectly. Jack Gosiewski is somebody who is a realistic target I would be looking at to replace Ma'u if we go the NRL route.
I'd agree if we lose Mau to Cas as it hotly rumoured and its only a year then I'd be a little disappointed though it all depends on the cost of the 1 year contract given. The club certainly seem to have smartened up in that aspect in regards to only offering deals that they think a player is worth rather than paying over the odds or giving a longer term than they'd want.
I would imagine that the club would likely replace Mau with a player of equal quality or better. A lot of rebuilding I guess will revolve around whether Jake is here next season or not.
