Horne is a far better 6 than Obst, it's not even close.

You would rather keep an ageing Obst who's best position is hooker, where we now have Heremaia and Houghton, rather than Horne, who has had a pretty decent season given the changes we have had in the halves, is 4 years younger and is capable of filling in at full back effectively??

depends on the terms, as it stands Obst is under contract, Horne isn't

The clubs been accused of not having enough half back options for years, now we've got a few their wasting the cap.

Players like newton and ellis should be back ups not established 1st teamers. Seems a strategy based on expecting injuries to me

Absolutely. I mean if we give Ellis a dual contract then he might aswell have stayed at Leigh

I thought Sunday showed how much we miss Horne when he isn't on the field and obst looked lost without him.

I'd give horne 2 years on a reduced salary with a view to him getting involved in the coaching

but that is the thing, we'll be all sentimental about it and still pay him £80k a year

Not saying he's head coach material but he'd be a good mentor/role model for the younger players at the club

Horne for two years is a must, not missed a game this season since he came back and has played well. I'd like to see us go for Luke Burgess. Let Long,Burnett,Lauaki,Phelps and Dowes go. I'm soory men but Turner will never be a six as long as I have a hole in my a**e. Back up centre for me. You have to have Nicklas and Obst backing up Horne for Stand off and Ellis backing up Seymour.
