I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Me too but I took it with a pinch of salt. Not sure because I haven’t seen enough of him but is he the organiser we need to replace Clifford?

Sorry but how can you say he’s the organiser we need when you’ve not seen much of him?

They haven’t, they’ve asked ‘IS HE’ the organiser we need not stated that ‘HE IS’ the organiser we need.

I think you got a round further in the challenge cup 2021, however apart from that we’ve finished higher in superleague, and made it further in the challenge cup in each of the past 3 seasons. Obviously made it to the final this year which neither club has done in 5+ years, along with our record derby win in April. That’s probably where that narrative has come from.

Since our cup wins in 2016 and 2017

Both teams have been horrendous like 2 bald men fighting over a comb comes to mind

If you lose Saturday 38 years without a major trophy can't be proud of that surely ? Serious question

With regard to IMG i think they have pulled the wool over the eyes of the RFL ( not difficult though from past experience) and the RFL have bought in to having a large USA media corporation on board with the idea of selling R/L to a wider demographic.
The removal of automatic promotion and relegation is a huge mistake.
If a grading system based on certain criteria like Stadium, fan base, finance, catchment area is the best they can come up as an incentive then nothing will change
as it will still be the leading clubs in S/L who compete for the top six and C/C and therefore the performance rating becomes irrelevant to the other S/L clubs.
To lose Cas or Wakefield this season to be replaced by Featherstone is not any benefit to S/L or its image.
We have to hope Toulouse come good and beat them in the playoffs but again a team that finishes at the top of the Championship by several points has to go through a play off system is just ridiculous.
Realistically from next season there is no way back into S/L for any Championship team unless a team in S/L goes bust and many will go part time.
Apart from Toulouse who if they dont get back in S/L next season may pull out of the RFL i see Bradford as the only team to have a chance of ever entering S/L but that would take a very wealthy owner coming in,and moving the team to one of the cities football stadiums and as i said it would still probably have to be due to a S/L club going bust
.

You want Toulouse in SL and I agree with you. Yet you don't want a a licensing system which is more or less advocated under the IMG proposals which would almost certainly allow Toulouse a place in SL.

So if Toulouse are in the Championship next season which is likely then how does the IMG proposal allow Toulouse a way back into S/L?

Exactly.

Bring in a licensing system where clubs are reviewed every say 3/4 years to see if they meet the criteria. If they are failing and an ambitious championship club meets the criteria drop the SL club to the championship.

You are not pulling up the draw bridge and at the same time allowing the likes of Toulouse to establish themselves in SL.

Indeed , The flip side to 14 teams would be the quality imo We've seen it already this season that any decent players available are few and far between .

never mind wanting toulouse in,id rather we get rid of catalan.french teams need to be in a french league.the french rl supporters have no interest in the uk super league, never travel to any super league games away.compare them with the many new zealand warriors supporters who travel to aussie away games.featherstone took over 2000 to a monday night game at york last season, thats more than catalan and toulouse took to every super league match in total last season.both clubs are just waste of space paraisites.we dont need them.even tony smith mentioned when praising fc fans at home against catalan this season.catalan they never bring anyone and they never have.

That is true.

The quality of SL gets worse every year and unless there is major investment, which I can't see happening, nothing will change.
