We took a coach load to Brewers Field (Celtic ground) when London Broncos took their team on the road a few years ago. Will be interesting to hear from any of you sensible posters just what the ground was like nowa- days. Then it was a ground that West Hull (even East Hull) amateurs would have put to shame. Tin shed behind one goal, couple of metal potacabins to the right of the opposite goalend for the players to change into their playing strip, and the toilets!!!! well you needed wellies unless you fancied a paddle. Then, anyone could get in without a ticket/paying just by using Tesco at the end of the ground and coming through the gate from the shop to the ground.
Obviously I'm sure this will have have been sorted out by now, but as they say, 'once bitten, twice shy' so I will be giving this trip a miss. Besides I don't speak Welsh and I understand that they are to change all directions etc into Welsh in Wales if their devolved parliament get it passed into their law!!!
I'm staying put, rather put my dosh into Horney's testimonial fund then pay to go there again.......grannyfan Cindy
It hasn't really changed that much. I went to the Crusaders -v- Brisbane Bronco's game and also Crusaders v- Fev before the MM weekend last year. Probably the only difference is that they have a proper gate to go through from the Tesco side of the ground.
They have the best bar you've ever seen in the stand on that side of the ground too
Trust me you'll love it
