Child was poor, as normal, for both teams. Missed lots and gave stuff when he felt like it.
VR's got every call correct. As for the Whiting incident, I think the fact that Child had given the drop out meant there wasn't compelling enough evidence to overturn.

Some miserable aussie with a big nose apparantly. Told childs to keep the sides about 5 metres apart and to make sure rovers got a chance to score at the end if it was tight

Seen plenty of comments about how Childs kept skinny 10's - inferring that it somehow cost us the game. What ultimately cost us the game was the lack of a decent goalkicker - as it has in several close games. But also we lacked a player with the nous to exploit the skinny 10's, We need to look at our own players rather than the ref.

Would you class rovers' Burns as a decent goal kicker? - because he was no better than Whiting.
